OVERVIEW

With over 100 years of history, Poças Wines remains in the hands of the founding family, now in its 4th generation. In 2020, Poças decided to launch a special edition wine related to tongue-twisters (trava-línguas) to create a unique consumer experience through augmented reality (AR).

CHALLENGES & APPROACH

The main goal was to develop an interactive experience using bespoke labels and animations created by renowned artists. The AR app needed to detect the label and overlay animations around the bottle, even on curved surfaces, which presented an additional challenge. Each label also included artist details and multi-layer animations.

 

AR App Development

Created an iOS/Android app capable of detecting labels and overlaying animations around the bottle.

 

Interactive Labels

Each label featured a QR code that directed users to a dedicated landing page, listing all special edition bottles, artist details, and purchase locations.

 

Social Media Integration

Developed face masks for Facebook and Instagram to enhance user engagement.
